Ello Nami! (Slight spoilers ahead) I certainly love your series, you did what Zootopia did before they did it, using both prey n prey and angel n demon(even though that one is not in the main story line) you go against racism in both of those lines. I wasn't that fond of Delicacy cause it wasn't right that it wasn't considered how Mochi would feel about any of that by Treat. Other then that the series is amazing in emotion and cuteness and showing off real world problems. Although I havent been able to play this 4th installment to the series cause everytime I click launch it says something about direct X audio which must have something to do with the game sense there is no such thing on my computer.
oh, directx is a program that comes with windows, i think yours just needs to be updated or something? very strange that you could run the other games and not this one though... sorry i can't be of more help, hope that can get figured out!
Hey Nami, I just downloaded all of the Lonely Wolf Treat games and I'm having trouble getting them to run in full screen mode. I've tried Alt+Enter and changing it to load in full screen with F1. Do you have any idea what might be going on?
hmm no idea x_x i can't think of why it wouldn't work, and don't know of good alternatives... oh, one person mentioned they used windows magnifier? so maybe that's your best bet? good luck!!
Finished up the second part yesterday and oh my god was it just a one way ticket on the feels train. Thank you for making these games Nami. I really have fallen in love with the world.
oh my god, this is my favourite game series!!! i've been playing since lonely wolf treat was the only one out and this series means a lot to me. i've loved every single game - from the characters, to the gameplay, to the art, to the music...it's all been such a wonderful experience.
i'm so happy wandering wolf trick got released!!! i love that they're called trick and then she's called treat :') i loved getting to find out more about characters i'd already met in friendly bunny mochi and clever fox moxie, but i was so excited to meet a new character! i loved all the flashback scenes - it was a different and new, and also the pink/red tint was very aesethically pleasing. i loved exploring all the different places as trick, and i loved re-seeing characters like chai, salt, pepper, the mouse we saw before outside frosting in clever fox moxie (that cult thing was a plot twist, whoa :0) and visiting towns we'd heard of like ginseng. i also loved meeting other new characters other than trick - mango, castella (i hope she and mango get to see each other again!), moxie's mum!!
i'm guessing that juju is mango and castella's daughter. are we going to see more of her and learn more about her life in a future instalment??
also wanted to say thanks for making characters who use they pronouns! as someone who uses they pronouns, this meant a lot to me.
anyway, i absolutely love your work Nami!! i've played quite a few of your other games too, but the Lonely Wolf Treat series holds a special place in my heart, thank you so much for creating it, everyone involved has done an amazing brilliant wonderful job. i think i've tipped you before but i'll definitely be tipping more, as your work is amazing and beautiful and one of a kind, and you've clearly poured so much heart and soul into your work. i wish you the best!! looking forward to seeing more of your work :-) <3
wow thank you so much for all this!!!! seeing people talk about all the parts they like in detail always makes me think "you're the kind of person i'm making this for" haha. i can't wait to make the next one! there will certainly be more expanded backstory stuff and plenty of new characters to love too <3 I LOVE MAKING THEM!!!
Not really a game, just an interactive story. Most story-driven games give you choices you can make that will affect the storyline, but this only had one such instance that was a false choice anyways since it resulted in the same event (the berries). I have some suggestions for you to improve on the series:
- Please capitalize all the dialogue
- Make the player be able to make different choice and get different events/endings
- Story-driven games also sometimes have puzzle mechanics and crafting to go along with the item finding- not that it's necessary, but is more fun
- Improve on the character and story. The character designs are forgettable... Their personalities are not unique, save for a few of the foxes. Gloomy protagonist, faithful happy friend, cute positive bunny girl, mean foxes, protective mothers (which, the mother yelling at the wolf for being near her young daughter storyline happened twice...)
Also there's something in the game that confused me. I thought the first cabin where her master lived in was where Treat lived, since they have the same house look. And why did the rabbit on the cliff offer to trade Trick a ticket in exchange for an apple when it was clear that the rabbit could easily just had walked a few feet to get it himself? The only reason I can think of was that he pitied Trick. I had thought for sure she was going to give him her trail mix (?) that she picked up from earlier in her house. I also thought the escape from the cult was a missed opportunity for Trick to stand up in the face on conflict. Throughout the entire story, she just took whatever prejudice was thrown at her. It was a good way to explain that not all animals act the way they are perceived, but I wish Trick would have come to that realization herself instead of being told.
Of course, there are some good things about the game! As people have said already, the art is beautiful and clean. There's an obvious improvement from the first game to the last, where in the last there were different perspectives, different cut scenes, and close-ups. The music got better. The game mechanics are always good. I've haven't experienced a bug or glitch yet. I enjoyed how the NPCs sprites moved around as they talked to show their personality.
I understand that it was lowercase to represent that, but bad grammar isn't stylistic. Inner thoughts can be represented through bracketing, italics, different text color, things like that.
i think the idea is that boreas (the travelling rabbit) was too tired and lacked the energy to move to the tree himself. it was a little strange, but there was an explanation given. maybe trick finished the trail mix as their journey was pretty long? or maybe they were sticking to their original plan of sharing the trail mix with treat and didn't want to give it to boreas.
hmm, it seems like if you hit f1 while the game is running it will give you the option to launch in full screen? then you can close and reopen the game and that might solve it...? sorry that it's being weird! alt+enter should definitely work if the game is your active window.
sure, what is it telling you? is it like, starting and then stopping? because that might be an issue with your internet or browser maybe....? people have run into some troubles downloading from itchio before so i won't be surprised if that's what's happening haha, it tends to work out if they try again later or something? sorry about the trouble tho :(
Another great addition to the Lonely Wolf Treat series. As always, the art style is cute and well done, the music is bright and happy, and the continuing story still pleases. I have been a fan of the series since the story began with Treat. Nami does a great job at expanding on all of the stories but allowing the player to experience it through new eyes each time. It helps to move the story ahead but also get a new perspective on the world and the actions around the player. Keeping it interesting and never stale. I can't wait for the next part and to see where the story will expand and what new characters we'll meet. I did a video on my experience with the latest chapter if anyone is interested.
I found out about your games through Girbeagly's let's plays of them and I love them so much! I just played the first 3 parts and am now playing this one. Can't wait to see more of your games!
Thank you for part 4! <3 My friend and I really love this series, And I also love all your games! Thank you so much for your hard work Nami-chan <3 (Can I call you Nami-chan? I thinks its sounds so cute ^^ )
heheh, that comic will be alluded to in the next game. so i guess it's a hidden story line! i just want to keep the games sfw so everyone can play them.
I completely understand. You have a gift for story telling and I applaud the amount of work and dedication you put into it. When this was relaesed I honestly cheered with joy. My roommate looked at me as if I was not human lol (thats embarrassing) Anyways keep up the. . .I mean. . . .can't wait for the next game =) Aprilish I can assume? mayby May?
EDIT: Nvm, I just read the other comments and you havent really got across the next game development yet. So i'll be patient (worth the wait anywaysd) no pressure
Such a great game And i might or might not have totally cried at the ending....... like really much
it just put a tear (or alot) in my eye when i see a freind go though so much to se a person they love. And then when i'm sobbing over the reunion and them being happy together, Trick leaves and my heart officially die.
i cant thank you enough for this since treat to trick i really love all this games VN , i love every character and really really really love treat but trick steal my heart too , so what i must feel .... i have a platonical love here ,
and , i was waiting for moxie to have a plan or something
It was so cuuute, but I feel very sad for Trick ! She is kind of... Selfless ? And seeing that hurts ; - ; I have to admit, I nearly cried at the end, when she said her home couldn't be with Treat... To much feelings !
Thank you sooo much for creating this series, I enjoyed every part of it !
haha thanks for your interest! but i can't make a guess right now when i'll be able to start working on the next game. i have ideas for it, just not the time to put into it yet. you'll play as treat again though!
I watched let's play of the 3 first games. This one is the first game of this series I play. Damn! That was sweet and sad. Thank you for this wonderful little gem :)

oh i'm sorry i didn't mean to make it sound like something was wrong, i'm just working full time so i only get to do personal projects over weekends really.
I've been waiting for this! Thank you Nami, this was a really lovely game. <3 I'm really happy that we got to know a little more about this world, too! C-Can't wait for the next one! So happy there will be another one, haha! . <3 Thank you for all your hard work. <3

Windows magnifier was a little annoying but it worked, thanks! The only question I have left is, will we be seeing more of Treat?
P.S. Loved the comic.
thank you!! yes you'll absolutely be seeing more treat. although we already saw so much of her in that comic... kya~!
I'm such an idiot... I meant to type Trick... 0_0
That's good to know though... about Treat.
LOL my fault for making their names so similar. you'll be seeing more trick too!
Great game. So what is going to be the next game of this series
Finished up the second part yesterday and oh my god was it just a one way ticket on the feels train. Thank you for making these games Nami. I really have fallen in love with the world.

Lots and lots of potential.
I think the dialogue that is in lower case is a style choice, representing the main character's inner voice.
I understand that it was lowercase to represent that, but bad grammar isn't stylistic. Inner thoughts can be represented through bracketing, italics, different text color, things like that.
Undertale tho.
i think the idea is that boreas (the travelling rabbit) was too tired and lacked the energy to move to the tree himself. it was a little strange, but there was an explanation given. maybe trick finished the trail mix as their journey was pretty long? or maybe they were sticking to their original plan of sharing the trail mix with treat and didn't want to give it to boreas.

i wonder what gender is mochi.
she identifies as female
Are there any secrets in the game?
you can take the insterail somewhere special if you give a certain character something, and there's a story sidequest that has to do with mango!
thanks
YES
Really enjoyed this one so much, I attached part one and a link to my vid.me video!
Thanks for making this @nomnomnami
It's brilliant and I can not get enough so keep em coming! <3
https://vid.me/WRN8
i keep encountering a download error. could you look into it?
sure, what is it telling you? is it like, starting and then stopping? because that might be an issue with your internet or browser maybe....? people have run into some troubles downloading from itchio before so i won't be surprised if that's what's happening haha, it tends to work out if they try again later or something? sorry about the trouble tho :(
it tells me that the link is corrupt
huh.... never heard that before. i don't know what to tell you except to keep trying :(
after a series of mental breakdowns and frustration infused with chocolate, i managed to get it to work. Thanks :)
oh thank goodness! i'm so glad <3
YOU NEED TO MAKE ANOTHER I LOVE THIS SERIES

heheh, that comic will be alluded to in the next game. so i guess it's a hidden story line! i just want to keep the games sfw so everyone can play them.
