when I first time seeing this series it was from the Lonely wolf treat the first game

(+1)

okay, SO. i found the "her tears were my light" and decided to play it, and then decided to check the creator out (aka you) AND I AM SO HAPPY I DID. this is now my new series, i actually squeled a couple of times because the characters WERE SO ADORABLE AND PECIOUS, MY HEART COULKDNT TAKE IT-. ahem. anyway, i look forward to seeing more of this series, igot so invested in the characters, and it was really good ^^

good luck on continuing with the series~

I just finished the entirety of the series and fell in love with each and every single character, main and side.  I cried a couple of times, and had to pause to really think. (And give some much deserved $$$ to the patreon)

The way the world building is really subtle and natural, snippets of information given to piece together, is amazing. The flow of one game to the next, minor things from one seen in the next, is refreshing and so cool.

The tiny things; like the easy leniency of gender identity, or the way that both sides (the discriminated/discriminators) are given a chance to be understood as to why they see it the way they do.

The art, OMG, the art is so beautiful and cute and awesome. The color choice blend so well to set the atmosphere; the snow made me chilly, the rain made it gloomy, and the bright pink trees made it wonderful.

Gosh, there's so much more to love and say, but I'll take up the entire comment section.

All in all, this is an amazingly awesome series, the kind that'll leave an impression even years after. Thank you for all the hard work, effort, and time you guys put into this series-it all shows in the game!!!

thank you so much for this kind comment! i'm glad you're enjoying the series :D i hope i can release the next one soon!!!

I just realized that these games of yours that im playing are Yuri Based.

But im okay with that...

BTW When's the fifth game going to come out?

Do you have a patreon? I rlly wanna support you!! Btw good game.

Btw, i tried all games in order. SOOOO GOOOD!!!!!! PLEASE MAKE MORE!

thanks, i'm working on the next one! here is the link to my patreon

when do you think you will be done with the next game!! I'm so excited I don't know if i'll be able to wait any longer!  (:

Hi!

I have a question :

What could you design characters and the game environment? And how did you learn programming?

hmm i'm not sure i understand the first part of your question...

i learned programming just by doing it! there are tutorials for basic things, then after that you just build on what you already know to make more and more complex events. it helps that rpg maker gives you a big list of options to pick through, so i'm not typing out each line of code on my own.

I've been a fan of your work for over a year now and I'd like to thank you for all the effort that you've put into these wonderful games please keep it up!! Once I get a job, I'll be sure to support your work further!! Keep up the great work, love ya!

Best game!...

this got me a bit curious... is trick genderless????

Im really hyped for the 5th game!

thanks! and yes, trick is agender. their pronouns are they/them :)

that is amazing i love all  of your games and i cant wait until the 5th one comes out

(+1)

Thanke you so much for creating all these amazing games. Every time I play one of your games I'm having a blast of how amazing they are. I can't wait for the next game. Wish you the best of luck ^w^

(+2)

God damn i didn't expected to love the game, i just saw the art style and said, "that looks nice", but that sure was an experience.

All the characters have an unique personality, i fell in love with every one of them (Especially Moxi)

The history of the game isn't that complex, but it manages to keep it interesting while the game progresses, like telling you the reason Treat left.

The ending of every single one of the games left me wanting for more, it makes a great job on making me get on the history, even the small details like some small and not relevant objects or other NPCs are fun to talk to.

Playing through this was great, and i love the game.

(Too bad i don't have any money to donate, i would love to do it)

(1 edit)

I first played this game on a whim, just to see what it was cuz it had good reviews. I was taken back my the amazing story, lovable and interesting characters, and how cute it was!! I ended up playing all of NomNomNami's games and was blown away at how good they all were! Thanks for making them! It was so much fun. And I know everyone is asking this but was the news on the 5th game? Lol, Thanks!

aaa thanks so much! the 5th game is close to being finished, i hope to release it during august of this year!

Yay, I'm so exited, thank you!

August? That's my birth month! I can't wait!

Same! Mines on the 16th of August!

i have payed this series (or what you have so far)twice now one by myself and one with my brother watching me and i found more things that i didn't notice the first time and i just have to say that i love these games and cant wait for the 5th one to come out and thank you for putting so much time and effort into these games i really appreciate it. And omg Moxies mom i feel bad for what happend to her business

focus only on the bold if you don't have time.

okay, I know this is out of nowhere but where are you from? one thing I normally see in games is that if they have a korean version, they have pretty much almost all human languages. but the only ones I see YOU make are japanese, korean and english. english, nowadays anyone can make one. but for japanese or korean, you normally need a person from that country to do it for you OR you need to have a great understanding of the language... basically I'm legit curious to how you do it and where you are from. nothing else. shit, to prove there's nothing else, I'm korean...though my reading and writing/typing skills aren't exactly average. I know much complicated words in english than in korean so you could say I'm somewhat mentally from somewhere else.

I believe she gets people to help her translate, but don't quote me.

(+1)

I'm so sad that it's over but it was amazing. Treat is my favorite <3

So... what happened to Moxie's Mother is pretty horrible. RIP her business.

(+2)

If the 5th series released, I'll be waiting for the 6th.

TRICK YOU MOTHER F*****

TREAT CRIED!

YOU WERE HAPPY THERE!

I QUIT ON THIS SERIES!

(no i don't that's a joke)

this is an amazing series and i love it. i'd support you if i could...........

'little mochi'

edit: btw can you give an estimated date to the release of treatrpg 5? (at least a month) because i live in Australia and you live in......... idk

aiming for july/august but i've been busy so we'll seeeeeee

My birthday is on August 16th, so I think it would be pretty cool if it was released around than! also love your RPG and artwork Nami!

Been a fan ever since romance detective

YES, MORE ACCURATE DATE. NOW TO COME BACK IN 3/4 MONTHS.

I'm not trying to pressure you or anything, but the longer it takes the more I grow irritated at myself for not being able to hibernate till the exact fucking day BEFORE 5th gets released. then when I play the 5th, if you say you're gonna make a 6th, then I'll start to grow irritated at myself for not being able to ONLY wake up on the day it gets released... why do humans not have a hibernation ability? I mean the pain of boredom would be gone since you could dream all you want and only wake up in a month or two to take a piss or something. then eat something before hibernating again.

I would like to know if you are making a fifth game (If already confirmed can someone link me to the confirmation) cuz i needz mor.

i'm working on it~ i posted some screenshots on twitter a while back.

Ok thank you, I can't wait for the next one.

I just looked and OMFG my mind is blown!

Will this series launched to steam?

this game is very neat and adorable.

(+1)

thank you! when i finish the series i would like to make a complete version to possibly release on steam. that would be pretty far in the future though!

Hey Nami, I just played all 4 of these games and think they're excellent. Can't wait for number 5! ^_^

God, you're making a lot of progress! This game turned out better than others! I love Trick! And your games ;)

And, Hey, Nami! How's the fifth game going?

(oh.... sorry for my bad english)

(+1)

thank you! (your english is just fine!)

the fifth game is going well :D it's about 70% done right now. still aiming to release it this summer.

keep up good work stay determined

do you happen to have a set release date for the next game? no rush! :)

(+1)

hoping to release this summer :D

(1 edit)

is there going to be more games in the treat series? i played through all the games and am currently playing the rest, i loved the treat series and i really hope that you will make another game as the story left me really wanting another part as i wanted to know what happens next. Hope that you will make more of these games and if you stop and just keep making other kinds of games i will still play and love them as all the games i have played so far have been really fun with an amazing or cute story.

love your work :)

(+1)

i'm working on the next one, yeah :) thank you!

(+1)

Ok good to hear :) thanks for the amazing storys and fun games, have a good rest of your day!

Played through all four episodes in one go, and I feel like I received a 15% cuteness boost when I was done. The characters, the environments, and the general aesthetic are brimming with charm and left me wanting more.

Even the one thing I wasn't a fan of (the initial episode 1 map) improved from one episode to the next. It's a small thing, but the change in the seasons and Frostling itself made it feel more "real".

Overall, I loved seeing the gradual progression of the characters and the scope of the episodes.

Looking forward to future games! Can't wait to see what's next!

Finally finished the game ;3, can't wait for the next one!

(1 edit)

good game !!

So just something I was curious about... is "delicacy" canonical, and if so will it be alluded to by the characters in the next game?

yes it is canon, and yes it will be alluded to.

Neat! I live for such minor interpersonal moments.

Well I am 16 years old and I wish I could buy it because I am really curious what is happening in Delicacy .

We'll... tell you when you're older   (<_< )   ( >_>)

Why not now (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖)

well... the 4th part of the series is a bit different from the rest but it's great this way too. It's rather story about traveliing and looking for home.

"TO BE CONTINUED" . So, I'm waiting for more :D

(+1)

hurry up with the next one XD XD i love these games so much!

Just finished playing through the series and i have to say I'm utterly in love with all the characters /o\<3

Hey! I absolutely loved the games you created! I've played almost all of them, the four games of this saga, first kiss at a spooky soiree, date treat, romance detective, and i was wondering if you're continuing making them! They're all really great games, and I hope you can continue! But if you can't continue making them, I can totally understand. Keep up the good work!! <33

(+1)

thank you so much! i'm working on the 5th game right now actually :D i don't have a release date yet but it's definitely coming soon~

No problem!! Good luck with the game <33

Really good ending it made me wanna cry but it was very well done like the whole series was and I just loved how everything was connected I think you should make another one where Frosting gets over the pred and prey thing so we can go back and have what I would think be a REALLY SUPER HAPPY ENDING

So, I' really having trouble wrapping my head around this. How do I actually make the pictures into a fully functioning sprite sheet? The online tutorials I have found so far just managed to confuse me even more. So if you got anything to make me not fail, please let me know. This stuff is HARD. I honestly appreciate the support you are lending me in this endeavor!

if you make the image the right size it can tell automatically how to break up the tiles and stuff--the default is like a 384x256 sheet, which would fit 8 32x32 characters. you get 4 rows per character: 1st is walking down, 2nd is left, then right, then up. you also get 3 columns: 1st is one foot forward (doesn't matter which), 2nd is them standing normally, and 3rd is the other foot forward. that way it can do a walking animation :D i hope that explained things?? to make 32x64 sprites i just made the whole image 384x512 and it just worked. also we could probably move this conversation to email so we don't clog the comments with all this general rpg maker talk... lol

Ahh, umm... Yeah kinda didn't explain will cause it was late. I meant with using larger sprites. In the tutorial mentions the Sprite is 48 by 48 and how do you put that in a game. I heard it was different but could be wrong. Isn't the default 32 by 32. Hope I'm asking the right question. Something mentioned it interferes with the game if the sides are larger than 32. It's that true? I suppose what I'm really wondering is do the sprites have to be set on a square? Does it have to be 32 by 32 64 by 64 ect. or, can it be uneven like 32 by 60 or something. Sorry for being so clueless :P.

Also, how do sprite sheets work, like how do I go about making a sheet? By this I am referring to I have some pixel art, but how do I make that into an actual game material? Do you have an example. If you choose not to answer it's fine. Just feeling a little over my head here :/. APPRECIATE YOU!!!

oh right yeah 32x32 is the default for vx ace-- i make my treat sprites 32x64 tho. you can find some base assets in the rpg maker files, i used those as a base especially for making the tilesets. i think there's a lot of tutorials out there specifically for making rpg maker stuff, good luck!!

Thank you so much! That was a bit of a block stopping me from continuing so thanks for the help. Internet is really hard to work with...

(1 edit)

I looked at the tutorial, and it was SUPER  helpful.

Thank you! One thing I am a bit unclear on is Transposing a Rpg maker game onto a different size scale. So how would you go about that. If you could give me an example from your game, or just point me in the right direction I would REALLY appreciate it: D. Hope I'm still making sense... It's late. Thank you again for taking time to help some me. I love your games Nami! I can be half as good as you ☺

Btw, Sorry!!! This one made a lot of sense in my head, but looking at it today... just no.

uhh hm i make my games at the default size so i don't know if i can help you on that front D:

Just how.... how are you so good at pixel art!!! Sorry, for asking someone as busy as you for the info, but as far as I'm concerned, you are one of the best, so I ask because I feel I'm able to trust the advice. I've been working for a while and been trying to stylisticly draw, but after an hour I have the very basics!!! It's really difficult, and so I can really appreciate how much work those sprites must've taken. Have any tips 'cuz I'm low skill so I'm sure I'll get better with some practice, but ANY pointers you may have would be helpful. Anything like "Oh yeah, doing this saves you a lot of effort." Thank You SO much! Also, if these are ever annoying or you don't feel like answering, tell me! After all, maybe your style is something you want to keep to yourself. Never stop creating!!! :')

haha, thank you! i really like doing pixel art so i have a lot of experience with it. a while back i made a tutorial for how i do sprites, i hope it helps get you started! thanks for being so considerate too, i like responding to questions whenever i can, so don't be afraid of bothering me <3

Ay, umm so another question what are good programs for pixel art and the like, there are a lot of options out there, but I am really quite new to this so I was wondering what you think is a good one for me to look into, because you can  hardly look into a game without the understanding of the actual look. I truly am sorry for bothering you, and I know you probably are busy, but I'm asking you because you have good judgement. Rpg maker vx ace is working so well. Again thanks for everything (including the games)!!!

no worries, i use paint tool sai for pixel art but there's also aseprite, graphics gale, idk lots of programs are out there but even ms paint works just fine :D
